Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, emphasizes that damage sustained by the session hall of the Ukrainian Parliament shall not be recovered at the expense of the State Budget. It is to be recovered by two parliamentary factions that organized the mentioned events on 27 April, he stated asked by the journalists after the sitting of the Conciliate Council on Monday. "The fact remains still UAH one million is to be recovered as no one is going to solve this problem at the expense of the State Budget", V. Lytvyn stated.

 

V. Lytvyn also announced that he had directed the letters to the leaders of both factions "for them to agree the details and decide in proportion who will pay the definite sum." He specified that the Deputies of "Our Ukraine People´s Self-Defence" faction have already covered the damage for the broken microphone, UAH 10 thousand for socket damaged by glue and have the intention to recover the damage for broken furniture.

 

"For now it is all the information regarding this issue according to the specialists of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate", V. Lytvyn briefed.
